About the Fourth Degree

PRINCIPLE: PATRIOTISM
The principle of the fourth degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism by promoting responsible citizenship and a love of loyalty to the Knights’ respective country. Any third degree member in good standing, six months after the anniversary of his first degree is eligible for membership.
As fourth degree knights, patriotism is honored by

• Exercising the right to vote
• Wearing an American flag lapel pin
• Flying the flag on national holidays and election day
• Active participation in our political system
• Marching in parades
• Teaching flag etiquette

Patriotism, like Catholic spirituality, is personal.
